Workplace Safety Is Our Job
Ethylene Oxide Monitoring (EtO)
Air monitoring is necessary to measure potential risk associated with this colorless, odorless gas that is flammable and highly reactive. Our analysis focuses on sterilizing hospital supplies and equipment and ensuring existing environmental levels comply with regulatory guidelines.
Formaldehyde + Xylene Monitoring
Our technicians measure airborne levels to identify the potential risk of excessive concentrations of formaldehyde and xylene. These studies ensure all engineering controls are performing as designed to reduce the levels below the permissible exposure limit.
Glutaraldehyde Monitoring
Glutaraldehyde is a cold sterilant used to disinfect heat-sensitive instruments. Healthcare employees may be exposed to glutaraldehyde in histology and pathology labs. Ambient air samples are obtained by our technicians before, during, and after use to verify existing levels and ensure compliance.
Medical Gas Analysis
We conduct regular analysis to ensure medical gases comply with all standards, requirements, and recommendations established by The Joint Commission and NFPA. Testing the proficiency of a medical gas distribution system includes inlets, outlets, zone valves, area alarms, and all source distribution equipment (excludes bulk oxygen system).
Ventilation Testing
Our technicians monitor and document air pressures and air exchange rates in sensitive ventilation areas of the facility to verify employee safety.
Waste Anesthetic Gases
NIOSH and OSHA guidelines are followed in all biomedical facilities where anesthetic gas is dispensed. Our technicians measure and document the anesthetic gas and identify methods to limit excessive exposure.
