Weldcote® E309LT1-1 is a flux-cored welding wire designed for joining 22% Cr–12% Ni stainless steel (AISI 309S), 18% Cr–8% Ni stainless clad steel, and dissimilar materials such as Cr-Mo or mild steel to stainless steel. It is also well suited for build-up welding on carbon steel. The E309LT1-1/4 wire supports welding in flat, horizontal fillet, and vertical up or down positions using CO₂ or Ar-CO₂ shielding gas mixtures (75% Ar / 25% CO₂). It delivers excellent usability with a stable arc, minimal spatter, and smooth, visually appealing bead appearance.
