Mobility Aids
|
Independence means different things to different
people. Independence is what we at O.E. Meyer
Co. strive to achieve for all those individuals
we service. Whether your needs are complete
dependence on an assistive device, partial
dependence or the need is only temporary- we are
here to help.
We have the products that will make your
day-to-day home care goals much easier to
achieve. Below you will find a list of mobility
aids that can assist in your everyday ambulatory
efforts. |
|
 |
Canes Whether it is a single
point cane or a quad cane, canes help stabilize
and steady a person’s gait. Canes add support
and balance, which increase comfort while
walking. We offer the follow types of canes:
standard crook canes, offset canes, folding
canes, wooden canes, quad canes (pictured to the
left), and orthopedic grip canes. |
|
 |
Crutches Crutches come in a variety
of styles, based on the person’s need. Standard
underarm crutches help support a person with an
injured leg or foot. Whether the person is a
young athlete who sprained her ankle during a
game or a senior who sprained his ankle on the
ice, crutches offer balance and support for
increased independence. O.E. Meyer Co. offers
several types of crutches, including: standard,
bariatric, quick-change, quick-adjust, forearm,
and millennial crutches. |
|
 |
Forearm Crutches Our
forearm crutches are easy to adjust and provide
comfortable support. Available in a full range
of sizes to insure a perfect fit. They have
vinyl-coated half inch aluminum cuffs, cushioned
vinyl handgrips and extra-large tips. |

Walkers Walkers are
used for patients with extremity limitations.
The walker allows the person to become more
mobile while supporting him or herself. Walkers
come in many sizes and are compatible with
several accessories available in our showrooms.
Walkers styles include standard, deluxe,
heavy-duty, hemi walker/sidesteppers, and
wheeled walkers |
|
 |
Wheelchairs Wheelchairs
come in an assortment of sizes, styles and
colors to fit the needs of most patients.
Wheelchairs are used for patients with little or
no mobility in their lower extremities. Hemi
wheelchairs have lower seats and allow patients
to propel themselves using their feet if they
are short in stature or cannot propel a standard
wheelchair. Other types of wheelchairs include
standard, pediatric, heavy-duty, bariatric,
lightweight, transport, and extra-wide. |
|
|
 |
Scooters Scooters
are power-operated vehicles that can be used
inside the home in tight spaces such as an
apartment or outside the home such as a long
trip to the mall. Depending on the needs of the
patient, there are many scooter sizes and
styles. |
